Follow along as we criss-cross the US in our renovated Fifth-Wheel RV. We plan to visit numerous Gelato, Ice Cream and Custard shops across the country as well as see all sorts of interesting attractions in at least 12 states. The fun starts now as we begin to plan our route and finish up the remodeling on the RV.
The Fifth-Wheel is a 2008 Keystone Copper Canyon that we have owned for a couple years. It measures 34 feet and has a couple bedrooms with a den, kitchen and bathroom. Although the interior is very good shape, it is typical of RV's from that time and features OODLES of brown, heavy upholstery and lots of wallpaper. It needs some updating. The exterior is also in good shape, but needs a little sprucing up, too.
As most of you know, Big Daddy is a whiz at vintage trailer restorations. (He rebuilt all of our Gelato Trucks from the ground up!) This should be a fun experience getting this kinda modern RV prettied up and ready for her closeup. Follow along for lots of Before and After pics and stories as we lead up to our travel dates.
But first, we need a name for this adventure. Comment below with your ideas for a great name for a this great tour!
From Kentucky to San Francisco and back again, we can't wait to hit the open road in search of lots of sweet desserts and even more sweet memories!
